  ## Tenant screening

  You can now screen prospective tenants before signing a lease.

  ### New features

  * **Tenant screening** — Run background checks on tenant applicants directly from BrikSync. Each screening includes reference checks, employment verification, and a credit check summary. Results are consolidated into a risk score (0–100) with a clear risk level (low, medium, or high) so you can make informed decisions quickly. [Learn more](/features/leases)

  * **Reference and employment checks** — Send verification requests to a tenant's references and employers by email. Track invitation status and responses in one place — no more chasing follow-ups manually.

  * **Screening dashboard** — View all active and completed screenings from **Leases → Screenings**. Each screening shows its current status (pending, in progress, completed, or failed) along with the associated tenant and property. Click into any screening for a full breakdown of checks and scores.
