BrikSync PropOS includes a document management system for storing and managing property-related files. Upload leases, inspection reports, invoices, and insurance documents — and download them securely via time-limited links.

Where documents live

Documents can be attached at the property level or the tenant level. Property documents are accessible from the Documents tab on any property’s detail page. Tenant ID verification documents are managed from the individual tenant record — see uploading an ID verification document.

Uploading a document

  1. Navigate to the property where you want to attach the document.
  2. Open the Documents tab.
  3. Click Upload Document.
  4. Select the file from your device. Supported formats and limits: Maximum file size: 20 MB per file.
  5. Enter a Document Name — a clear, descriptive label (e.g. “Gas Safety Certificate 2025”). Up to 200 characters.
  6. Select a Document Type from the list below.
  7. Click Upload.
The document will be saved and available immediately. Images are automatically stripped of EXIF metadata for privacy. Uploaded files are validated for type and safety before they are stored.
Minimum role required for upload: Landlord.

Document types

Downloading documents

Documents download through secure links that expire after 5 minutes, so a link cannot be shared or reused later. Any authenticated organisation member can request a download link.
  1. Click the Download button on the document row.
A temporary download link is generated. If the link expires, click Download again to generate a new one.
Minimum role required for download: Tenant (any authenticated organisation member).

Deleting a document

  1. Click the trash icon on the document row.
Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no confirmation dialog. The file is removed from storage and cannot be recovered. If a document is a key legal record (e.g. a signed lease), retain a copy before deleting.
Minimum role required for deletion: Property Manager.
