Week in review

This week adds privacy tooling for GDPR compliance, smarter lease creation with AI, and several quality-of-life improvements across tenant onboarding and payments.

New features

  • GDPR data requests — You can now submit data export, account deletion, and PII erasure requests directly from your account settings. Data exports are generated as a downloadable archive. Admins can initiate PII erasure on behalf of team members. All requests are logged for audit purposes. Learn more
  • AI-assisted lease term extraction — When you create a lease on PRO or BUSINESS plans, the AI automatically extracts key terms from the lease’s special terms field and stores them in a structured format. This makes it easier to search and compare lease conditions across your portfolio without reading every document manually. Learn more
  • Tenant welcome email — New tenants now receive an automatic welcome email with a link to sign in as soon as you add them. If email delivery fails, the tenant record is still created — no action needed on your part. Learn more

Updates

  • Payment method tracking — When recording a manual payment, you can now select the payment method: Stripe, bank transfer, cash, check, or other. This gives you a clearer breakdown of how rent is collected across your portfolio. Learn more
  • Lease status transition enforcement — Lease status changes are now validated server-side against a strict set of allowed transitions. For example, only an active or renewed lease can be terminated, and expired leases cannot revert to active. Invalid transitions return a clear error message explaining what went wrong. Learn more
  • Tenant ID verification uploads — You can now upload identity documents (PDF, JPEG, PNG, or WebP, up to 20 MB) directly to a tenant’s profile for manual review. Uploaded images are automatically stripped of EXIF metadata to protect tenant privacy. Learn more

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the internal security documentation page included development task references that were not intended for public display. These notes have been removed.
